03Nickel release

Nickel release ≤ 0.2 µg/cm²/week — nickel-safe, tested to UK REACH limits. UK REACH restricts nickel release from articles inserted into pierced ears to 0.2 µg/cm² per week, and from articles in prolonged skin contact to 0.5 µg/cm² per week. Lead content is restricted to 0.05% and cadmium to 0.01%. Supplier conformity documentation is held on file and available on request.

04Care

Sterling silver reacts with sulphur in air and on skin, so it darkens over time. That is normal and reversible — a polishing cloth brings the surface back. Wipe the post as well as the ball.

What it is

Same construction as the 4 mm, at a diameter where the sphere becomes the point rather than a full stop. Doubling the diameter doubles the weight, which is the whole difference between the two.
